MONUMENTAL
Impact Happens
HERE.
RECAP is a live, open-studio celebration and learning event showcasing songs created through the monthly Songwriter Production Night. The evening highlights finished artist projects, the student engineers who helped produce them, and the collaborative process that turns demos into release-ready records.
This is both a networking opportunity and a hands-on production workshop, designed to give students real-world insight into professional artist collaboration.
A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE
See Real Sessions, Not Theory.
Students will be inside active Studio West rooms with completed masters pulled up in the DAW. Artists and engineers will walk through sessions, stems, and creative decisions – from early iPhone demos to final production.
Network With Working Artists
The featured artists are up-and-coming San Diego musicians actively releasing music. This is a rare chance to connect directly, build relationships, and seed future collaborations.
Learn the Art of Collaboration
Justin Froesé will facilitate a live discussion on the art of collaboration in production—covering communication, creative leadership, artist–engineer dynamics, and how to add value in the studio.
Build Community
RECAP is designed to strengthen the Studio West creative community – bringing together students, alumni, artists, producers, and staff in one shared experience.
