A native of England, Peter earned a Bachelor’s Degree at Brunel University in London, and went on to work in business planning, leadership training, human resources, and career services for 13 years before deciding to move into the world of professional audio and audio education. An avid drummer himself, Peter has performed and recorded with many bands throughout the years, and his passion for music has played an instrumental role in the direction and development of Studio West and The Recording Arts Center. As Director of The Recording Arts Center and Owner of Studio West, Peter oversees the daily operations of both the school and the studio, and enjoys using his diverse experience to help both students and clients achieve their dreams.

Brian is a video producer/director that took an unconventional path to a career in the creative arts. He spent the first 15 years of his professional life leading global project teams and interfacing with some of the world’s leading technology companies, such as Google and Apple. Drawn by a passion to create, he enrolled at The Recording Arts Center in 2013 looking for a career in the music and entertainment industry. Since graduating from TRAC, he has produced and directed hundreds of videos that have garnered millions of views worldwide. As Chief Operating Officer, Brian leads the studio operations as well as the finance and human resources functions at Studio West and TRAC.

Colin Tedeschi

Registrar / Senior Post-Production Engineer

A graduate of the University of Southern California with degrees in Business Administration and Music Industry, Colin was a member of the very first music production program at TRAC. Shortly after finishing the program in 2012, Colin was brought on board as School Registrar, working closely with the rest of the staff to shape and manage TRAC’s programs. Colin also serves as one of the studio’s primary Post-Production engineers, working with A-List clients like John Cena, Alan Arkin, Adam West, and Richard Dreyfuss, and industry leaders including Disney, Netflix, NBC Universal, Warner Brothers, Sony, and NPR.

As a Producer, Song-Writer, and Sound Engineer, Todd leans on over 25 years of experience as a pianist and over ten years of experience as a teacher to get the job done. As Director of Admissions for TRAC, Todd loves connecting with talented individuals and helping guide them on their career path. His energy is contagious and he loves getting to work with the amazing people that walk through the doors of Studio West.

Genadi Radiul

Genadi’s professional experience spans from music performance and production to audio recording and engineering. He also has 18+ years of experience working in higher education as an instructor, curriculum developer, and program administrator. Genadi earned his M.A. degree in Music from Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater in 1991 and in 2003 graduated with M.S. degree in Multimedia Technology from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Genadi brings his professional expertise to Studio West and The Recording Arts Center in his roles as Chief Academic Officer and Instructor for a variety of classes in the Diploma program.

Amelia Sarkisian

Amelia Sarkisian

Studio manager

Amelia is a TRAC graduate with extensive experience in live sound, having worked at the Music Box SD and with several local acts including the San Diego Women’s Chorus. Her studio credits include assistant engineer for Jason Mraz’s “Look for the Good – Deluxe Edition” album, recording and mixing engineer for SDMA winning singer/songwriter Lindsay White, and lead engineer for the 2020 San Diego Music Awards. Amelia wears many hats at Studio West—teaching one-on-one engineering and production lessons, coordinating operations at Satellite, engineering sessions, and providing studio maintenance support.

Cedrick Courtois

Instructor / Senior Engineer

Cedrick earned an Associate’s Degree in Audio Engineering at ESRA Institute in France and has since followed his passion for all things sound, working as a tracking and mixing engineer as well as a post-production sound designer and mixer. Cedrick has worked with many artists over the years including Beyonce, Lenny Kravitz, and Ludacris to name a few, and has mixed shows for major networks such as ESPN and NBC Sports. You can also hear Cedrick’s sound design work on many commercials, including Red Bull’s Formula One campaigns and Monster Energy’s AMA SuperCross. In addition to serving as Senior Engineer at Studio West, Cedrick teaches many classes throughout TRAC’s Diploma program.

Ian Sutton

Instructor / Senior Engineer

A graduate of The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona, Ian specializes in tracking and mixing. Ian’s musical credits include Jason Mraz, T-Pain, Deadmau5, Rob Halford of Judas Priest, Frankie J, The Neighbourhood and Danny Brown, La Cuca, and Los Tucanes de Tijuana. Video game and TV credits include Brutal Legend, DiRT2, Diners Drive-ins and Dives, How to Look Good Naked, and numerous music tracks for Universal’s film and television divisions. He’s also recorded DVD commentary and audio books for Jerry Lewis, Deepak Chopra, and Dr. Oz. Ian is one of Studio West’s Senior Engineers in addition to teaching many of the core classes in TRAC’s Diploma program.

Robbie Robinson

Senior MASTERING Engineer

Robbie Robinson is a highly skilled Mastering Engineer with over 25 years of experience.

He has worked with many artists and mastered over 20,000 songs, for acts such as Jason Mraz, Alan Parsons, Perry Ferrel, Switchfoot, Angels and Airwaves, Gregory Page, Greg Laswell, Molly Jensen, Bushwalla, Rebecca Jade, and Tom Brosseau.

Robbie has also been a part of many SDMA (San Diego Music Awards) winning projects, as well as a Latin Grammy Award-winning album.

Alec Moore

Alec Moore

Instructor / Senior Post-Production Engineer

After graduating from The Recording Arts Center in 2013, Alec started interning at Studio West and soon carved out a niche as a post-production engineer. Alec regularly works in television and film in San Diego and LA. He was part of the crew for the film “Steve White: Painting the World with Music” which won Best Documentary at the San Diego Film Awards in 2016. In addition to his work in Post-Production, Alec teaches certification courses and is a frequent guest lecturer in Post-Production courses for TRAC’s Diploma Program.

Rob Peterson

Rob Peterson

Instructor / Engineer

Rob is a staff engineer and instructor at Studio West. He got his start singing in his elementary school choir and attended Concordia University Irvine on a vocal performance scholarship. After finishing school in 2005, Rob began working at Humphrey’s by the Bay and later started playing Irish music professionally at venues around San Diego. He attended TRAC in 2018 and began working as an engineer after graduating. Rob’s favorite part about working at Studio West is giving first-time clients “their first taste of what it’s really like being in a recording studio”.

Ryan is a multi-instrumentalist, engineer/producer, music lover, and graduate of the Diploma program at TRAC. Ryan’s lifelong passion for music followed him through years of performing and teaching before he decided to pursue the more technical aspects of music production at TRAC. Ryan has taught a number of classes in the Diploma program, and stays involved with the educational side of things as a Studio Assistant while also continuing to record, mix, and produce a wide variety of artists as a staff engineer at Studio West and Satellite.

Bobby Bray

Bobby Bray

Bobby Bray has been a postsecondary educator since 2012 teaching courses in live sound, psychoacoustics, and the ever-changing music business. He was the head sound engineer of two venues and has run live sound for over 800 events. As a musician he performed over 800 times including 10 European tours, 12 US tours, and 3 Japanese tours. Bobby graduated from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts from the Music department, where he later worked as an Event Manager/Production Technician. He has also been a contributing writer for the San Diego Reader’s music section.
